1-2-3!
This is something new, and I think it's so hilarious & so cute. It started when she just recently learned how to throw a ball (as evidenced by the video of her throwing the ball at little Enoch's head -- Maybe I should add it was a cloth ball -- I think she figured out throwing from watching him). So when I would throw the ball for her, I'd say "One, two, three, WEEEE!". She has found that to be quite amusing and started mimicking me. The result is a 13-month-old that counts to 3! Now to teach her all her presidents...

"It's Guts"
Madison seems to have a phrase of the week which, among her incoherent baby babble, is the dominant phrase she repeats. At one time it was "Degas" then "Dubai" (we said we were starting her early in classical and international studies). More recently it was "What's that?" pointing at everything, then "this, this" while pointing. Over the last few days her new phrase has been (or what sounds like) "it's guts" or sometimes "see? guts". You have to wonder in her little baby brain what in the world she's really trying to get across. :-)

Little Person Chatter
Madison is quite the little talker. She sounds like she has her only language - you could swear she knows just what she's trying to say, though we don't have a clue. This is just a little snippet of her chatter. I taped her on the video camera first & she was babbling quite a bit. But since I don't know how to get the video from that camera to the computer, I then pulled out the digital camera & did a little taping on it... but by then she was more interested in trying to get lunch than talk more.
